How many genres do you cover?
Our current playlist consists of Soft Rock, Hard Rock, Pop, R&B, Disco, Country, Swing, EDM
How many eras do you cover?
We play a wide variety of music from the 50's all the way up to today, as long as it was released on vinyl at some point and in some place in the world; heavy on the 80's and 70's.
What music will you NOT play?
We do not play any songs that haven't been released on a vinyl format, and nothing which contains foul language or explicit content.
What does “Family-Friendly” mean?
The music we play is “clean”. Our shows are a safe place for the entire family. Our music will not contain foul language or explicit content. Lots of fun without offending anyone of any age. If a song contains a “bad word”, if we can change it, we'll do it. If changing it won't work, it's not on our list.
Do you play requests in the middle of your performance?
If we know the song you're asking for, YES! If we don't know it, or kinda sorta maybe, and/or YOU want to sing it, SURE! We'll give it a shot!
Do you change your play list for each show?
While we have a foundational list of music that we play, our set lists are constantly evolving. We try to bring as much musical variety as we can to keep our shows fresh, especially to our regular followers.
Do you customize your play list for private events?
Absolutely! Just let us know what songs you MUST have played and/or what songs you DON'T want played, and we will accommodate your requests to the best of our ability.
How long do you play for?
A typical show lasts about 4 hours: 3 hours of our performance, with a couple of breaks in between. But this is all highly customizable to meet your desired needs and specifications.
Where are you located?
Vinyl Grooves is based out of Edmonton, Alberta and we serve any location within an 8 hour drive one way.
